SonyEricsson T300 is announced in 2002
Design
The latter quickly became immensely popular and also the manufacturer's flagship, but with the advent of the T300, SonyEricsson has finally entrenched itself as an important player in the market for experienced users, the SonyEricsson T300 is slender and not very compact handset at 106 x 48 x 21 mm and 101 grams. The 256-color display unfortunately suffers from a very grainy appearance. The grainyness is not a problem when displaying text, however, just images - and due to the T300 first and foremost being a color phone, this is less of a problem than it could have been. The display resolution 101 x 80 pixel is not very high but is normal for low class phone.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker. Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the T300's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all SonyEricsson handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.
Ergonomics
The T300 is comfortable to hold and lies well in ones hand.A numerical keypad placed below offers appropriately-spaced keys and are pleasantly comfortable in use.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent SonyEricsson handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.Unfortunately, the keypad of the SonyEricsson T300 emits excess noise, but on the bright side its keys have been comfortably spaced and sized. We're not entirely happy with the design of the navigational pad and its adjacent buttons, however, as distinguishing between these less easy than it ought to be.And last, but not least, a five-way joystick centered below the display.
Features
In the WAN department, the T300 boasts healthy support for Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz, as well as GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Email client, 24-channels polyphony, FAX/Modem, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of infrared old wireless device,GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book..
Performance
Audio quality on the T300 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 700 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 7.5 hours talk time or 350 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 105 minutes.
Availability
The SonyEricsson T300 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
SonyEricsson T300 is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical SonyEricsson design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws. |
