Sendo S330 is announced in 2003
Design
The classic style of Sendo design in areas of shape, colour and design, weighing in at 90 g and measuring 108 x 47 x 21 mm, the S330 is petite and relatively lightweight. The 4096-color display is dim, not very bright and crisp, but is a far step above the very dim 256-color versions on even the most recent Sendo models. The display resolution 98 x 67 pixel is not very high but is normal for low class phone.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker. Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the S330's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all Sendo handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.
Ergonomics
The S330 is comfortable to hold and lies well in ones hand.A numerical keypad placed below offers appropriately-spaced keys and are pleasantly comfortable in use.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Sendo handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.Unfortunately, the keypad of the Sendo S330 emits excess noise, but on the bright side its keys have been comfortably spaced and sized. We're not entirely happy with the design of the navigational pad and its adjacent buttons, however, as distinguishing between these less easy than it ought to be.And last, but not least, a simple two-way navigation buttons centered below the display.
Features
Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Sendo S330 has to offer: there's also support for SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of and spacious phone book..
Performance
Audio quality on the S330 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 600 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 7 hours talk time or 480 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 90 minutes.
Availability
The Sendo S330 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
Sendo's S330 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from Sendo. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable. |
