Design
Maxon's MX-C20 has a standard design for this class handsets, measuring 46 x 91 x 23 mm and 90 grams. Despite the weight it has a good feel in the hand, and the good shaped plastic body and styled highlights give it an attractive and nice look.The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual.The display resolution 128 x 160 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker, while on the other side we find a dedicated camera button.
Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the MX-C20's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all Maxon handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.
Ergonomics
The MX-C20 is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Maxon handsets.The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial.

Performance
Audio quality on the MX-C20 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 700 mAh Li-pol battery is rated for 3 hours talk time or 150 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 105 minutes.

The Maxon MX-C20 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
Maxon's MX-C20 is yet another model in a range of phones from experienced users from Maxon. A new compact design and a reduced sized battery - which avoids rendering a negative impact on battery life - ensures a thin and light phone which is ergonomically comfortable. |
