Maxon MX-7830 is announced in 2002
Design
Heavily influenced by classic Maxon design in areas of shape, colour and design, weighing in at 95 g and measuring 113 x 47 x 19 mm, the MX-7830 is petite and relatively lightweight. The 16 bit - color display which is a little milky, dim and uneven, as well as having lower resolution than usual. The display resolution 128 x 160 pixel ideal for small and smart phone.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker. Lacking LEDs of any kind, however, the display - combined with vibration and audible alerts - is the MX-7830's only way of notifying users of new messages and missed calls. This is common for all Maxon handsets, requiring users to inconveniently have to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting rather than just glance at it.
Ergonomics
The MX-7830 is comfortable to hold and lies well in ones hand.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Maxon handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the shrunken center keys for no apparent reason, make the phone harder to dial than necessary.Unfortunately, the keypad of the Maxon MX-7830 emits excess noise, but on the bright side its keys have been comfortably spaced and sized. We're not entirely happy with the design of the navigational pad and its adjacent buttons, however, as distinguishing between these less easy than it ought to be.And last, but not least, a five-way joystick centered below the display.
Features
Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Maxon MX-7830 has to offer: there's also support for GPRS, SMS, and a range of applications such as WAP , Java MIDP 1.0, FAX/Modem, all of which laptop and handheld users will be pleased to learn is a breeze to utilize either by means of infrared old wireless device,GPRS support is the fastest way to download files with your mobile, and spacious phone book..
Performance
Audio quality on the MX-7830 was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 600 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 5 hours talk time or 200 hours standby, which is very good for battery's theoretical capacity.Charge time is about 90 minutes.
Availability
The Maxon MX-7830 is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
Maxon MX-7830 is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical Maxon design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws. |
