Ericsson R320s is announced in 2000
Design
The latter quickly became immensely popular and also the manufacturer's flagship, but with the advent of the R320s, Ericsson has finally entrenched itself as an important player in the market for experienced users, the Ericsson R320s is slender and not very compact handset at 130 x 51 x 15 mm and 100 grams. The black and white display is ideal for text, messages and simple pictures like logos and picture massages. The display resolution 128 x 128 pixel which is standart resolution for more mobile phones.
The left side of the unit holds a spacious volume rocker. There is nice LEDs which notify users of new messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Ericsson handsets and is not necessary to pick up and activate the device to see whether any alerts are waiting.
Ergonomics
The R320s is not comfortable for hold in ones hand because it is too wide.Sporting a simple and user friendly menu in style with other recent Ericsson handsets. The plastic keypad has good placed keys, with the comfortable center keys, make the phone easer to dial. Its keypad is as pleasing in use as its chassis is on the eyes: tactile feedback is excellent and all buttons are placed in a logical manner - quite a feat, considering R320s's knack for quirky keypads. And last, but not least, a four-way navigation buttons centered below the display.
Features
Dual band 900/1800 MHz connectivity isn't all the Ericsson R320s has to offer: there's also support for SMS, .infrared old wireless device, and spacious phone book..
Performance
Audio quality on the R320s was crystal clear, and signal quality was good. The removable 850 mAh Li-ion battery is rated for 4.3 hours talk time or 103 hours standby, which is quite low given the battery's theoretical capacity. Charge time is about 127 minutes.
Availability
The Ericsson R320s is now available throughout Europe in some language version.
Conclusion
Ericsson R320s is a beautiful phone to hold and use, and it's quickly won our hearts. The typical Ericsson design flair is present in abundance, with all the requisite consumer features to back it up.But love doesn't notice such little flaws. |
